The playing of wind instruments and singing is a great challenge for musicians in the present time. Making music and singing together is only possible under extensive hygienic precautions and with large distances between the instruments. Investigations at the Chair of Building Physics in cooperation with the Chair of Industrial Design show innovative ways of reducing the emission of potentially infectious breathing air by filters when playing wind instruments and singing.
